The South Sound Fruit Society is a chapter of the Western Cascade Fruit Society.
SSFS is a 501(c)3 non-profit membership organization for education, enjoyment, and sustainable propagation of fruits, nuts and berries. Our monthly programs cover such topics as growing different apple varieties, pears, peach, plum, and berries such such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and native berries. We cover all aspects of culture including planting, feeding, pests, pruning, harvesting and use, such as cider making and jams.
The SSFS is a local chapter of the Western Cascade Fruit Society. Other chapters are in Seattle, Bainbridge, the Key Peninsula, Vashon Island, Tacoma, Snohomish, Port Angeles and Port Townsend.
