SSFS Workshop: Fruit Tree Pruning at Harmony Farm Preserve

Looking to improve your knowledge of fruit tree pruning? Join Capitol Land Trust and the South Sound Fruit Society for a fruit tree pruning workshop at Harmony Farm Preserve. We will begin with a tour of the site followed by a training on how to prune your tree by pruning heirloom apple trees. Apple cider will be provided!

Saturday, February 9

10 am tour and 11 am training

Harmony Farm Preserve, Olympia

This workshop is free to Capitol Land Trust and South Sound Fruit Society members. There is a $10 suggested donation for non-members.

Please bring pruning tools, gloves, water, and snacks. If you have an orchard ladder, please advise us in advance. Depending on attendance, a carpool system may be set up. Be prepared for the weather, dressing in layers and wearing clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. There are places of mud, so please wear sturdy, waterproof shoes. It is about a 10-minute downhill walk from the parking area to the work space.
